What's New at Kimberbell: September 2023

Well, friends, there's a lot going on at Kimberbell these days! And I don't want you to miss a thing.

That's why I thought it would be fun to do a monthly recap here on the blog at the end of every month! These posts will cover all the major highlights, from what's happening on Inside the Hoop and What's New Wednesday to new products, Vault releases, and so much more!

Here's what September looked like at Kimberbell. 😊 

Inside the Hoop

On September 14th, 2023, we launched our first-ever episode of Inside the Hoop! Our fun (live!) video series includes tips, tricks, ideas, and inspiration for machine embroidery.  Please join Kim, Deanna, and Ginger every Thursday at noon Mountain Time on YouTube and Facebook for a lot of learning (and laughing)!

This month on Inside the Hoop, we introduced our NEW Buy-a-Block program (more details below!) as well as some creative ways to use designs you may already have. (You'll also get to peek into Kim's fabric stash!)

We talked about how to personalize embroidery (with and without software), how to use paper templates and crosshairs to position a design, how to embroider on a T-shirt,  how to float a project on sticky-back stabilizer, and more. Trust me...you don't want to miss our tips for thinking outside the box! 😀

NEW Buy-a-Block Program

As I mentioned above, Kimberbell released a NEW Buy-a-Block program this month as part of our Inside the Hoop show! 

Here's how it works: throughout the year, we'll release specific blocks from our larger projects so you can kind of . . .well, dip your toe in the water. Sometimes a whole project can seem overwhelming, but there's so much you can do with a single block! A smaller design just isn't as intimidating.

This month, we released two Buy-a-Block designs from our Falling for Autumn quilt: the Chokecherry House and Hay Rides. (And they're only $5 each!) 

You can purchase Kimberbell Buy-a-Block designs HERE. As with our other projects, Buy-a-Block designs come with very detailed, step-by-step instructions.  Have "sew" much fun! 😀

Digital Downloads

This month we also released our In All Things Give Thanks Pillow! Inspired by Kimberbell's classic wall hanging, our 22 x 22" pillow is warm and whimsical with pumpkins, leaves, turkeys, and more.

Background Quilting

We also released the In All Things Give Thanks Quilting Bundle, which includes the Autumn 5, Thanksgiving 2, and Thanksgiving 1 Border designs! (If you look closely at the pillow image above, you'll see the quilting!)

What's New Wednesday

For Kimberbell fans, What's New Wednesday is something to look forward to every week. Join Kim live from her sewing room every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. MT to learn what's new, ask questions, enter our epic giveaways, and see what Kimberbell fans are creating during our "Sew & Tell With Kimberbell" segment!

New Products

Christmas was definitely in the air at Kimberbell this September! We were excited to finally release our much-anticipated Nativity Bench Pillow. (Okay, it was technically released at the end of August. Close enough.) 😊

Vault Releases

This month we also released several classic projects in the Kimberbell Vault. These projects include the Talkin' Turkey Table Runner, Count Your Blessings Tea Towel, and two winter Pennants & Banners collections. 

So, what's the Kimberbell Vault? It's a place where we release oldie-but-goodie designs as digital downloads. Though the retro instructions look different than our directions today, they still work beautifully and it's fun  to access classic projects that are no longer sold in shops!

Digital Dealer Exclusives: Fall Lumbar Pillow
