Stabilizer Spotlight: Medium Cut-Away
What is Medium Cut-Away?
Like all Cut-Aways, Medium Cut-Away keeps machine embroidery looking clean and crisp while preventing stitches from popping as fabric stretches. It's a fibrous material and does not tear, so you have to trim the excess stabilizer away.
Why Use Medium Cut-Away?
Medium Cut-Away is ideal for use with wovens, medium-weight knits, stretchy fabrics, lightweight denims, and other projects needing permanent reinforcement.
For example, we use Medium Cut-Away on Mug Rugs like these:
Again, this stabilizer stays in your project and provides continued support for embroidered stitches. Use Medium Cut-Away on designs with a medium to heavy stitchcount.
How is Kimberbell Medium Cut-Away Different?
Kimberbell Medium Cut-Away stays smooth and taut in the hoop and works well with both soft and crisp fabrics.
Like our other stabilizers, it's been thoroughly tested in our Product Development Lab and always performs beautifully! (I actually use this stabilizer a LOT. Medium Cut-Away does not disappoint!) 😊
Where Can I Find Kimberbell Medium Cut-Away?
Kimberbell Medium Cut-Away comes in 12" and 20" rolls AND in precut sheets for 5x7 hoops. You can purchase this stabilizer anywhere Kimberbell products are sold!
Since this is a Cut-Away, be sure to look for the ORANGE label. I hope you have fun making all kinds of machine embroidery projects with Kimberbell Medium Cut-Away!
Happy stitching! 😀
