Chillin' with My Snowmies Cheese Ball
There's nothing like a festive cheese ball at holiday parties, and this one is especially fun! Here's how our "snowmie" friend comes together. (It's not hard at all . . .it just takes a little planning ahead!) 🧀 ☃️
Chillin' with My Snowmies Cheese Ball
Ingredients
- (2) 8-ounce blocks of cream cheese, softened
- 3 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (at room temperature)
- (1) 1-ounce package ranch seasoning mix
- 1 1/2 cups finely shredded Monteray Jack cheese
- 1 baby carrot
- Whole peppercorns, as desired
Instructions
- Allow cream cheese and sharp cheddar cheese to come to room temperature. Using a stand mixer, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar, and ranch dressing mix.
- Divide cheese mixture and form one smaller ball for the head and one larger ball for the body. Wrap the balls in separate sheets of plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least four hours (or overnight). This can be done several days ahead.
- Before serving, press shredded Monteray Jack cheese into the cheese balls. Place the smaller ball onto the larger ball. Cut off the tip of a baby carrot and press into ball for a nose. Use peppercorns for mouth and eyes. (I sort of forgot to do the mouth . . .we'll just pretend he's not smiling because he's about to be eaten.)
- Serve with crackers of veggies and enjoy with your favorite "snowmies!"
Pssst....This cheese ball is darling to display with your January Mini Quilt!
