Celebrate the Season with Background Quilting
Have you tried quilting on your embroidery machine? If so, you know that background quilting elevates your projects to a whole new level . . .and guess what? It's easy! 😀
It's also fun to build your personal background quilting library. Start with a few basic designs, then slowly expand to include a wide variety of holiday designs and designs specific to your family or interests!
As we're in the midst of the Christmas season, let's take a look at just a few of our favorite holiday designs. (Now, this is just a very small sampling! To see our entire Christmas collection, please click HERE.)
Note: The images below feature designs on light blue, orange, dark grey, and light grey backgrounds that represent various background quilting methods. Learn more about these methods and designs HERE!
Christmas 14 (Clear Blue Tiles Method)
This pretty pattern of ornaments and swirls on Christmas 14 makes me smile . . .probably because it reminds me of the ornaments my family hung on the tree when I was a child.
Christmas 15 (Clear Blue Tiles Method)
Letters to Santa are a traditional way to celebrate the season! I love the envelopes and Dear Santa salutation on Christmas 15.
Christmas 16 (Block-by-Block Method)
Christmas 16 is another classic with gingerbread men and houses! Notice that the designs above were for allover quilting, while this design is directional. (Again, read more about quilting methods HERE.)
Train 1 (Block-by-Block Method)
I'd definitely choo-choo-choose this versatile Train 1 design for my background quilting library! It's perfect for Christmas projects, baby quilts, shower gifts, and so much more.
Christmas 12 (Large-Scale)
With candy canes, holly berries, poinsettias, and trees, our large-scale Christmas 12 design is perfect for quilting those holiday blankets! (Large-scale designs make quilting so quick!)
Christmas Border 2
Kimberbell's Christmas Border 2 background quilting design is wintertime wonderful with snowflakes and swirls. (What makes a border design different? Click HERE!)
Christmas Border 8
Santa's suit is freshly washed! Kimberbell's Christmas Border 8 design features a jolly clothesline and "Ho, ho, ho" sentiment.
I hope this gives you an idea of the fun holiday designs we have on Kimberbell.com. Again, this is just a VERY SMALL sampling! To see all of our holiday designs, please click HERE!
Happy quilting!
