New Vault Release: Christmas Light Advent Banner
Festive Fun For Everyone
Kimberbell's Christmas Light Advent Banner is now available in the Kimberbell Vault! These darling lights feature numbers on the front and tiny pockets on the back (perfect for tiny treats or notes).
To create the banner, you'll stitch the numbered bulbs in a 4x4, 5x7, or 6x10 machine embroidery hoop, cut small slits in the base of each bulb, and then thread festive ribbon or rick rack through the slits to string the lights together. The larger your hoop, the more bulbs you'll be able to stitch at one time!
Needed Materials
Because the design files are in the Vault as a direct download, you can get started on this project today! Here's what you'll need:
- Christmas Light Advent Banner project (purchase and download HERE)
- Black Embroidery Felt
- Kimberbell Tear-Away Stabilizer
- A variety of red, green, and grey fabric
- 2 1/2 yards of rick-rack (black)
- Ribbon for optional bows
- Permanent fabric glue (for bows)
Retro Instructions
As with many projects in the Kimberbell Vault, the directions look different from how Kimberbell instructions are today. Why? Because these products are older and our directions have evolved since then. However, these "retro" instructions are still step-by-step and very easy to follow. 🙂
I hope you enjoy this in-the-hoop holiday project!
