"There's no place like Home for the Holidays." (Especially when the kitchen has a crockpot of delicious cocoa!) :) Like sugar and spice, Christmas and cocoa go hand in hand.

This recipe is a favorite of Kimberbell's senior graphic designer, Jasmine. She starts simmering the ingredients at 2:00 a.m. on Christmas morning and her family wakes up to gourmet cocoa! Lucky for us, Jasmine is sharing her tradition and her recipe. Enjoy!

Home for the Holidays Gourmet Hot Cocoa

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
14 oz sweetened condensed milk
6 cups milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups mini semisweet chocolate chips (You can use milk chocolate, if preferred.)

Directions

  • Pour all ingredients into a crockpot and whisk until well combined.
  • Cover and cook on low for two hours, stirring occasionally, until mixture is hot and chocolate chips are melted.
  • Whisk well and enjoy!

Pssst....this mug of cocoa is particularly pretty when served with the Dear Santa Mug Rug from Kimberbell Curated: Home for the Holidays!
